My organization has sought to improve conversion rates on our landing pages in every way possible, and to utilize as much of Eloqua's functionality as possible. Therefore, I've implemented social sign on and progressive profiling cloud components on many of our landing pages. However, I am having to sacrifice some key tracking ability to use these. In hopes of avoiding having to build out completely customized code for each, I wanted to double check that I'm not missing anything and perhaps there is a way to do what I'm trying to accomplish in parallel with use of these cloud components.
1. For both social sign on and progressive profiling components:
I need to capture most recent referrer with the form submission.
I've attempted using the Form Population component in coordination with the other components to pull this from the Visitor Profile without success. I have also attempted to populate my "referrer" field with the document.referrer via javascript. The latter works great with a basic form, but it won't work with the components in place. I also had wanted to try data look ups, but I only have Basic and don't believe this functionality is available with my version.
I am not a javascript guru, but have someone on my team who could assist if this would be possible using some .js.
2. In regard to the social sign on components only:
Need to populate a field via query string parameter.
I have a parameter defined to recognize which of our social media profiles a visitor is coming from. I'm able to use this with the progressive cloud component using the Dynamic Fields rules in the configuration, but haven't been able to capture the values via the social sign on components.
Perhaps Joel Rothman or T.J. Fields might be able to assist me?
