Hi, I was doing some work concerning time zones, see my post.
Excerpt -
Sometimes we want to send email at a specific time based on where the contact is located. There are ways of finding this out through google or the post office or other one-off ways. But what if you wanted to look up several contacts/customers at once - given just a postal code and a state.
I might add, this problem is not easily solved several states have 2 time zones.
I approached this by not wanting to have a gargantuan table of each postal code to a timezone. So I made postal code ranges, reducing the set to some 427 rows, small enough to post here.....
Here it is:
State Postal Code Time
State Code Start , End , Zone, Daylight Savings Indicator ( 1 - indicates region recognizes daylight savings, 0 - not)
Alabama | AL | 35004 | 36925 | -6.00 | 1 |
Alaska | AK | 99501 | 99950 | -9.00 | 1 |
American Samoa | AS | 96799 | 96799 | -11.00 | 0 |
Arizona | AZ | 85001 | 86556 | -7.00 | 0 |
Arkansas .....-> |
