My organization has multiple social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, etc) and we've been using Eloqua Insights to track both aggregated and specific social media referrals to our website. (Insights > Reports and Dashboards > Website > Social Media Breakdown). Since I've begun running the report in April, it's always shown ZERO referrals from Pinterest to our website. Eloqua tech support assured me on the phone multiple times that the Insight report does track Pinterest. So I took that answer back to our Marketing & Communications depts and we assumed our Pinterest page was essentially worthless (zero referrals to website).
Last week our social media assistant configured the new Pinterest Analytics for our page and sent me data. I was surprised to see that Pinterest Analytics showed referrals to our website. (For instance, September: 1,139 referrals to website and October: 1,163 referrals to website).
Is anyone else having issues where Eloqua Insights is not reporting Pinterest referrals to their website?
Or do any Oracle | Eloqua employees have a better explanation of what social channels Insights does or does not track?
Thanks!
