We have not used Survey Force, but we have worked a bit with the Survey Gizmo embed into our landing pages. Our experience with embedding has been mixed. I think the biggest challenge we've had is that our landing page has a specific creative, and we've struggled to make the embedded Survey Gizmo match and flow nicely into the page.
Currently for simpler surveys(10 questions or less that we don't need complex analysis for) we create an Eloqua form and write the responses to a Custom Data Object. For larger more complex surveys we typically link to Survey Monkey and run analysis out of their tools.
