Re: how do you unpublish a landing page?

Hi -

Following up, as we've had extensive conversations with our Eloqua rep about this.  There appears to be no plans for Eloqua to address this in the functionality - they insist the minimum "1" second redirection makes sense and there is no ability to edit a landing page's microsite without removing all dependencies.

They suggested that if we didn't want the landing page content to be accessed or get a 404 error, we delete out the contents of the landing page.  This makes no sense to me, because what if I wanted to reference that content in the future?

I did find a comment from a poster on Topliners that has solved the auto-redirection problem for us, so thank you to that user-hero (I can't remember who it was, but THANK YOU!).

To have a landing page no longer be "active", even if it  has dependencies, go into the landing page's Tools > Page Snippet Tools > Open JS Editor and paste:

<script language="javascript">

   window.location.href = "URL TO AUTO-REDIRECT PAGE TO"

</script>

This redirects the page immediately upon access (no 1 second redirection).

We use this for event landing pages where the event is over, but contacts may still have the emails floating in their inboxes.  We have two redirection URLs.

1) We redirect immediately to the homepage of our website.

2) We redirect to a new landing page that has a 3 second redirection rule on it.  That landing page has a message that says ""The page you have requested is no longer active.  If you are not redirected automatically, follow the link to the FactSet website."

Hope this helps.
