I hoping to start a thread with the most frequently asked questions you get internally as well as best practices.
I would really appreciate any feedback seeing as how these are the type of questions that seem to get the most attention and are sometimes the most challenging to answer without getting too technical.
(I know these questions will generate different answers based on your team structure and function but I'd love to see how others operate)
To start things off ...
1) What is the delay in emails going to a customers inbox? ... Why is the time stamp on the email my customer received later than when the campaign ended? (technical)
Ex. You launch an email for a contest asking people to respond by 5:00pm. The customer receives the email at 5:45pm but the time stamp shows 4:30 pm and the campaign is deactivated at 5:00pm ... in cases like this someone can become very frustrated seeing as they weren't give a fair chance/time to respond. Is this an issue on Eloqua's end or is it because a firewall issue on the customers end .. causing several attempts to send the email even after the campaign is closed?
2) Did the email go out? (best practice)
How do you confirm with your team that an email has launched successfully, can you set up a triggered notification? ... What is the best way to manage this ?
3) Email/Campaign generation process? (best practice)
What is the approval time, is this process formalized , what are the main reasons for push back ..
4) Campaign schedule?
Do you have a shared calendar ? Outlook? how do you schedule campaigns and make sure that everyone is aware of deadlines and frequency?
5) How do you communicate results with the team?
Do you have dashboard accessible to everyone? Do you provide 24 hr results, what metrics are important to share and frequency? Any particular format?
