Should the Eloqua Contact have both a Lead ID and Contact ID?
What would a scenario be where a Contact has both Lead ID and Contact ID?
Answer: It should not have, in the following case it can be
- First a lead is created and then it comes to Eloqua(Via Get Leads Autosynch) with lead ID.
- The lead is converted into contact in the CRM.
- The contact is pulled by the Autosynch "Get contacts"
- Hence now the contact in Eloqua would have both the contact ID and lead ID
For this purpose we have an Autosynch called "Get Converted Leads" which will blank out the Lead Id to avoid this confusion.
When a Get Converted Leads Auto Synch happens shouldn't the Lead ID be cleared out?
Answer: Yes the Lead Id should be cleared out.
