So, I think we'll leave Eloqua Engage for what is was really intended for: a sales tool.
I have been looking into the Simple Email Campaign option. This function indeed sounds to be developed for our purpose, but I am in doubt because of the hidden campaign settings and the different way of reporting.
Some of our campaign settings are mandatory and we need them for our reporting. But I understand one cannot really do these settings from the Simple Email Campaign Wizard.
The funnel report looks great by itself, but could I still report on Simple Email Campaigns just like any other multi-step campaign or are they not 'visible' in Insight? For example, if I would like to report on campaign engagement across campaigns could I include both 'simple' and 'multi-step' campaigns? Also, would 'responses' to these Simple Email campaigns still be available to segment on in multi-step campaigns e.g. could I run a multi-step campaign to everyone who clicked on a link in a Simple Email campaign delivery?
Or would we just be better off by creating templated campaign canvasses, templated assets and templated segments and instruct our field teams on how to use these within the core application? Plus use the much valued suggestion of Mathias to apply specific Security Group settings for these field users.
