Hi Eloqua people!
I have come into an issue and would love any ideas on how to solve it.
We just set up a new program with Eloqua and our Microsoft CRM to automatically create open opportunities based on all web leads. It seems to be working well except there is one issue with our integration. We based the program off of the creation of Tasks from Form Submits that come from Eloqua into CRM.
However, in Eloqua the external calls can only send immediately upon submission or in one hour or more. We can’t have the call send immediately because it will fail on new records that are being created in CRM since they are being created at the same time the call is sent. It does work for existing contacts, but we don’t want to make our sales team wait an hour for the new contacts and opportunities because they usually begin working on it ASAP.
My CRM vendor thought there might be a solution if we found another vendor to adjust our integration between Eloqua and CRM so that Eloqua creates the contact and then create the task sequentially. Has anyone ever done something like that before? Any vendor recommendations?
Do you have any other ideas/thoughts on what we can do to either make the immediate call recheck for a new contact automatically or have it delay less than an hour?
FYI, we cannot do this in program builder because you cannot put Form Submit external calls through programs.
Thank you!
