Hi ,
As far as I know, you can still select certain emails and the time frame to view. For example, you can select the most recent 5 emails to view in the last week.
It hasn't changed unless I am not understanding your question correctly.
Try clicking the Re-prompt button 
at the top to get the options you need (see below)
Additionally, I noticed that your two screen shots above are comparing two different metrics...
